TUNAWEZA is a campaign that aims to end violence against women (VAW) by challenging and changing social attitudes, behaviour and practices that support VAW. The campaign was launched in South Asia in 2004 as a region wide campaign with the primary goal of reducing the social acceptance VAW.
TUNAWEZA was launched initiated in East Africa in 2007 and was launched in Tanzania in 2008 as a five year national campaign.
