China unites in grief on day of mourning

A national day of mourning in china united the people in grief for the more than 1200 killed in landslides triggered by the floods on 7/8 August.At the scene of the disaster Zhouqu,Gansu province, relief worker pose for 3 minutes silence

 Thousands of soldiers were rushed to the area after the landslides to rescue survivors buried in buildings. They have also been working to protect survivors who are still at risk of further flooding and landslides.

 

At the scene of the disaster, bodies are still being found by relief workers.
