Chelsea 1 - 1 Everton

Chelsea's run of Premier League games without a win was extended to four as they were held at home by Everton.

John Terry hit the crossbar before Didier Drogba scored a penalty after Tim Howard fouled Nicolas Anelka.

Everton struck the post through a Jack Rodwell header in the second half while home team defender Ashley Cole failed to convert a low cross from six yards.

Jermaine Beckford then headed a late equaliser as Chelsea missed the chance to return to the top of the table.

With Manchester United's match at Blackpool postponed, victory would have meant that the Blues returned to the top of the table, but instead they slipped to third, with Arsenal moving up to first after defeating Fulham.

Chelsea faded after the break and it was Everton who finished the game on top after substitute Beckford scored his second Premier League goal to give David Moyes's team a deserved draw.
