Fergie happy to recall Wayne
Sir Alex Ferguson insists he has no qualms recalling Wayne Rooney for Manchester United's UEFA Champions League clash with Rangers.
The 24-year-old was omitted from the Red Devils' weekend squad that faced Everton after allegations emerged regarding his private life.
Ferguson claimed he was sparing the former Everton hit-man from the tirade of abuse that would have ensued had he featured at Goodison Park, a game in which the home side claimed a late 3-3 draw.
"I have no regrets - I did the right thing," said Ferguson. "And I have no concerns about playing him (on Tuesday) at all."
There have been suggestions since their weekend draw that Ferguson left Rooney out as punishment over the off-field allegations that have been made against him
